Joburg Photo Spots

Nirox sculpture park

Nirox sculpture park is set within 15 spectacular hectares of nature reserve. The park is open on weekends for visitors and occasionally hosts festivals and events. The park prohibits you to bring your own food and drink, however, there is a restaurant for visitors to dine at. There are sculptures all year-round which make the setting perfect for art lovers and photo ops.

Victoria yards

“Redefining the Joburg inner-city landscape through building an eco-system where tenants thrive as a community, Victoria Yards presents a uniquely integrated urban complex that is as much about social development as it is commercial enterprise.” Located in Lorentzville, Victoria Yards consists of restored industrial heritage buildings. Every first Sunday of the month Victoria yards hosts a market where visitors can eat from delicious food stalls, explore fashion and furniture studios and buy from boutique shops.

Morning Glory

At Morning Glory you get served the sexiest cup of coffee with a picture perfect brunch. It has become the go-to brunch spot in jozi for its incredible ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The easy-eating cafe offers a variety of sweet treats as well as delicious savory options.

Open 07:00–17:30, Sat and public holidays 07:00–13:00. Closed Sun.

Alice and fifth

Alice and fifth is a trendy supper club located in Santon offering a striking and bold design. This restaurant offers a luxury dining experience with the most glamorous photo ops. “With delectable cuisine, invigorating drinks and out-of-the world entertainment, you will be consistently reminded of the sexy elegance which is Alice & Fifth.”

Maboneng precinct

“A collection of old manufacturing buildings retrofitted with steel, glass and concrete. These original buildings fitted with welcoming street facing retail, commercial work spaces and artist studios juxtaposed with additions of more unconventional modern architecture rising upwards” This ones for my creative folk. Maboneng precinct consists of a variety of trendy restaurants, galleries and cute one-of-a-kind stores and let not forget to mention the most incredible photo opportunities available at every corner.

Just to name a few, part two coming soon

With love,

Stef
